Decluttering

The first thing you should do is declutter all the decorations you don’t want or need. It would help if you got rid of the carved pumpkins since they start rotting away and are no longer needed after the holiday. Then, take all decorations down and check if there are damaged or really old. You can get rid of them easily. If you have some still intact, you can gift them to friends and family or even Goodwill. Donating is an excellent way to dispose of everything old and have an excuse to get new decor next year.

Packing your Decor

Packing your decor is very easy. We can show you why. The first thing you should do is clean all of the decors before putting them in the boxes. Then, organize them and don’t overpack the boxes. This can ruin all of your decoration. It’s a good idea to pack masks and costumes aside from the decor. You can put them in boxes or garment bags. You should also deflate any inflatable decorations and if you still keep them, use the original packaging of the decor. The last thing you should consider is to pay more attention to fragile items and pack them with cloths or bubble wrap. Then, put them all in boxes plus some extra lining just in case.

Storing Halloween Decor

Finally, storing your decorations could be tough with limited space in your house. The best places to keep it in are the basement or the attic. If you have some spare closets, they can work, as well. You should label all boxes and mark those with fragile items to know which ones to handle more gently. Always keep a marker at hand and describe the items in each box so it will be easier when Halloween 2022 comes around.
